On October 22nd, Tbilisi Hosted 6th annual Marathon race, where around two thousand six hundred participants registered for charity event. Since it's founding Tbilisi Marathon has become an international annual event and at the same time a very successful social project, Tbilisi Marathon is listed as an official member of Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS). As a result, Tbilisi Marathon is the first in Caucasus, to hold the international status. 

During 2017 race, FNF was represented by the head of FNF South Caucasus office, Peter-Andreas Bochmann, additionally various partners of FNF also took part in marathon activities. FNF plans to be more involved in 2018 Tbilisi Marathon along with it's partners and promote charity and freedom.

Khatia Tschapodze, who is also an alumni of FNF's Freedom Academy South Caucasus, a project aimed at training professional facilitators and moderators was invited by the organizers to moderate the event on Georgian language. In the short interview Khatia speaks about her experience in Freedom Academy and about an impact Tbilisi Marathon 2017 had on her future plans.
